Yes, essentially. Arita is the production town; Imari was the historical export port. "Imari" is often used internationally while "Arita" is used domestically.
How is Arita-yaki shipped safely?
Each piece is individually wrapped in foam and tissue, packed in partitioned corrugated boxes with corner protection. Breakage rate on our shipments: under 1%.
